Sabarmati Riverfront

Dada Hari Vav

Dada Hari Vav, also known as Dada Hari Ni Vav or Stepwell, is a historical stepwell located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Stepwells, also known as vavs, were traditional water storage and harvesting structures in India, often featuring intricate architecture and design. The staircase was designed in a masterpiece that reflected the art and architecture of the time. The stairwell was constructed in Maru-Gurjara style of architecture. The staircase is decorated with beautiful carvings of deities, animals and other mythological figures. Sabarmati Ashram

The Sabarmati Ashram is situated on the banks of the Sabarmati River in the suburb of Ahmedabad, called Sabarmati. The serene location was chosen by Gandhi for its peaceful and tranquil surroundings. Mahatma Gandhi established the Sabarmati Ashram on June 17, 1917. Adalaj Step Well

The Adalaj Stepwell is a fine example of Indo-Islamic architecture and is built in the Maru-Gurjara style. It was constructed in 1499 by Queen Rudabai in memory of her husband, Rana Veer Singh, a Vaghela dynasty ruler. Like many stepwells in India, the Adalaj Stepwell served a dual purpose. It was not only a practical structure for water conservation but also a space for socializing, religious rituals, and escaping the heat, as the temperature inside the well was cooler than the outside. The staircase includes steps that lead down into the water, allowing access to the reservoir at various depths. The dam was built to provide relief from the extreme heat that prevailed in the area.

Kankaria Lake 

Kankaria Lake is a popular artificial lake located in the eastern part of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It is one of the largest lakes in the city and is a well-known recreational and leisure destination. The lake covers about 34 acres and is circular in shape. Jhulta Minar

Jhulta Minar, also known as the "Shaking Minarets," is a unique architectural marvel located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. These minarets are a part of the Sidi Bashir Mosque and are known for their mysterious shaking or vibrating behavior. The Jhulta Minar is located near Sidi Bashir Mosque near Sarangpur Darwaja in Ahmedabad.
